There is little point in putting a grubby engine back together, few things look quite as good as a nice shiny new looking engine.

At RB’s we can offer various forms of cleaning at various prices.

To glass blast a set of cylinders, heads and crankcases will cost around £90.00 – we also offer more enhanced services that do cost considerably more

 – after blasting the cases can be chemically cleaned to produce a better than new look, this does however take a considerable amount more work in that all the studs have to be removed and blanked off etc it is all down to the level of cleaning required, for most people just blasting is acceptable.

Obviously the above carb was scrap and even after cleaning it still has the corrosion marks – but it would be useable on a non show bike.
